My name is Kathy MacKenzie and I'm a singer/songwriter. I've lived in many places and currently find myself enjoying the beautiful area of San Diego.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. However, I didn't get serious about it until December of 2019. Since then, I've written over 30 songs, recorded around 15, with several hitting #1 on various music charts, been honored as the recipient of multiple Gold and Platinum Music Disc Awards, music video awards, and recently been named as a finalist as USA Female Rising Star at the 2023 ISSA awards.

My style of music has been described as “Americana” – a little bit country, folk, and blues. Growing up on Peter, Paul and Mary; influenced by the 70s singer/songwriter generation, and a huge fan of country since Garth burst onto the scene, these sounds have all influenced the tunes and lyrics I create. True to Americana form, my songs contain the acoustic intimacy of bluegrass, the gravelly heart of country, and the lonesome sting of the blues. Whether it's an upbeat tongue-in-cheek parody, or a heart-felt love song, you'll find your foot tapping to the beat.
